Kundalini Yoga has been described as the yoga of awareness. It is unique in that it uses a range of techniques in order to elevate one's consciousness, including the practice of asana, pranyama (breathing techniques), mantras and visualizations. In this particular series, we will use movement, mantra and breathing techniques to tap into the deep well of bliss and beauty that resides within each of us. The beauty and bliss that we will uncover through these powerful techniques is naturally stored in the space of the heart center. When we consciously work to open this powerful energy center, a sense of beauty and bliss naturally comes alive. No experience is necessary. All levels are welcome.
Harpremjeet Kaur first began the practice of yoga over ten years ago while an undergraduate student at UCLA. She had the blessing of studying with many of LA's top yoga instructors, such as Kia Miller, Sonya Cottle, Jeanne Heileman and Guru Singh. She received her first yoga teacher certification in 2010 through the Yoga Works teacher training program in Los Angeles. Two years later, she received her certification to teach Kundalini Yoga from the Kundalini Research Institute in New Mexico. In addition to teaching, Harpremjeet also owns and operates a vegan food business known as The Giving Bowl. She continues to be amazed by the healing power of healthy, conscious eating and loves serving the community with wholesome and nourishing meals.
