Take a journey with us back to square one! Whether it is day one or year ten, it behooves all yogis to revisit the foundation of the practice.
In this four week series, we'll (re)visit Patanjali's eight limbs of yoga- the very basis of the practice itself. Physically, we will deconstruct the most commonly used postures, their benefits, and their cautions. Through the physical practice, we will uncover deeper meaning as we paint the larger picture visioned in the ancient yogic texts. By the end of the series, you will feel confident to step into a public yoga class and know how to modify the postures + practices to fit your body, rather than the other way around.
You can expect to study:
Asana- physical poses
Vinyasa- flowing sequences
Pranayama- breathing techniques
Each week will build on the previous lesson, but will be approachable to all- come and go as you please and as your schedule allows!
